Steve West joined Stifel Nicolaus in 2007 as the restaurants analyst. Before joining Stifel Nicolaus, he was the restaurant and food distribution analyst for A.G. Edwards. Mr. West was also a financial analyst for Procter & Gamble, and prior to that served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy.

Mr. West received his B.S. in political science from the United States Naval Academy in 1992, and his M.B.A. with a concentration in finance from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis.

Mr. West was ranked second among stock pickers in the Restaurants industry by both the Financial Times/StarMine survey and the Wall Street Journal Best on the Street Analysts Survey in 2009.
